“Growing Money Habits, Parent-Child Together”

Piggy is part of the Design Good series at OwnKind—a smart piggy bank designed to help kids ages 5–12 build healthy money habits through everyday interaction with their parents.

Inspired by a real parenting moment, Piggy blends physical and digital learning. It features a clear balance screen, expressive animations, and a detachable “pig nose” debit card for real-life purchases. The soft, rounded shape and warm color palette feel safe and friendly for kids. Piggy also comes with an app to set savings goals, track tasks, and explore money topics with a kid-friendly AI. For the Design Good, we design for what schools often don’t teach—life skills that grow with children, through connection.
